Job Responsibilities to include the following:
Deploy, design, develop, test, and maintain Cognos reports in SQL server environment.
Work closely with user departments in resolving Cognos issues, reporting issues, and developing Cognos training.
Responsibilities include creation of new and modification of existing reports of senior-level executives. The Reporting Analyst will be the first line of interaction and the owner of the day-to day activities and will work with the various business units to gather specific business requirements.
Candidate must be comfortable and proficient in meeting with business customers and translating business requirements into system data queries/models and subsequent reports. Generate and maintain control documentation of reporting procedures to comply with governance audits and regulatory requirements.
Experience in the design and development of reporting capabilities on the Cognos platform toolset required.

Job Requirements to include the following:
5 years Database reporting experience using B1 tools and databases
3 years experience working Framework Manager
3 years professional experience working Cognos Series 7(Impromptu, Transformer, Powerplay and Access Manager)
1 year experience working various studios of Cognos 8
2 years experience with SQL Server Database, stored procedures, triggers, schema design and query optimization.
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Insurance industry experience a plus
Intermediate experience with MS Excel and Access
