Principal Duties
•Support Manufacturing leadership with financial insight in the areas of inventory, COGS, freight, scrap/obsolescence, fixed costs, etc.•Lead direct reports in recording and reviewing all manufacturing inventory transactions and preparing monthly reconciliations of inventory and accounts payable accounts to ensure that sales, cost of sales, inventory and accounts payable balances are reasonable and accurately stated. •Assist in coordinating physical counts of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods, at Houston Plant and off-site warehouses. Determine the required adjustment to the general ledger and reasons for the adjustment. Take corrective action to avoid similar errors from recurring. •Develop new and revised reports to improve the accuracy of inventory reporting and minimize the need for subsequent corrections. Lead other projects to improve inventory/cost accounting processes.•Assist in coordinating inventory related information requirements for the Outside Auditors, Company?s corporate auditor and governmental agencies. Experience
•Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting practices in a fabrication/finish/assembly manufacturing environment •Working knowledge of information systems, preferably Cognos, BPCS, and AS400 •Proven leader with ability to coach staff and encourage culture of ownership and accountability •Demonstrated financial process improvement experience •Demonstrated problem-solving skills Education/ Skills

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the administration of the company’s time and attendance and payroll systems. The Payroll Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")
Manage and guarantee bi-weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and
terminations is accurate and timely.
Reviews and resolves payroll issues, identifies pay adjustments, performs wage calculations and prorating for special payments.
Provides direct reports with coaching and development opportunities, and addresses performance issues as appropriate.
Maintains knowledge of existing and new payroll related legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements and implementing needed actions.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee data; ensuring all payroll information, files and records are maintained in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Assist in the completion of internal and external payroll tax and accounting audits
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years payroll processing experience within an organization of 200+ employees and multi-state locations.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience over a department consisting of 3-5 direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive working knowledge of ADP.
Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee payroll, including FLSA and payroll tax law.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, are required.
Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance
Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Possessing the trait of following a systematic method of performing a task.
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
Ability to speak Spanish helpful, but not necessary.

BASIC FUNCTION
The Chief Accounting Officer will be responsible for leading all finance and accounting activities for the Company, including Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting (SEC, other external, and internal management reporting), and providing Management and the Board of Directors with assurance as to the adequacy and effectiveness of the accounting and finance functions. The position is critical to ensuring that the Company's accounting and reporting practices are in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SEC reporting standards. Candidates should have a good knowledge of GAAP, and be able to stay apprised of new pronouncements to lead the Company through any required changes resulting from new SEC rules or GAAP pronouncements. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills with all levels of the Company and strive for continuous improvement in all processes and deliverables covered by this position. Candidates should also be able to work well in a team environment, while leading staff.
Essential Job Duties
• Overseeing all aspects of the corporate accounting, financial reporting, and tax functions
• Research SEC/GAAP accounting issues and technically complex transactions, assess impact on the accounting and financial reporting process
• Assist in the preparation/review of technical accounting memos and provide technical accounting guidance to others in the Company
• Assist Accounting in detailed review/analysis of general ledger accounts, review of account reconciliations, and monitoring of the financial closing calendar and checklist to ensure financial reporting properly reflects operating results, accruals and adjustments
• Ensure appropriate resources and staffing is available for accounting department and supervise staff indirectly through management and supervisory personnel
• Coordination with other departments (Accounting, Legal, Financial Planning, Tax, etc.) for purposes of identifying accounting implications or required disclosures
• Enhance and maintain the Company's documentation of its policies and procedures related to Sarbanes-Oxley, specifically those related to financial reporting and the external audit process, and related SEC and exchange rules and regulations.
• Maintain appropriate internal controls and safeguards, and provide training to functional departments on internal control activities to ensure a strong internal control environment

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing all components of the general ledger including financial and managerial reporting and recordkeeping. Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all external financial reports, including compliance with all SEC reporting requirements
• Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliation
• Serve as liaison with external auditors for independent audits and reviews
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, documentation and testing
• Lead the preparation of all financially oriented press releases
• Research, document and implement new accounting principles and regulatory decisions addressed by FASB, SEC and other organizations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive management.
• Complete special projects for executive, financial and operating management as necessary
• The timeliness and accuracy of all companies' financial reporting is the key element of this position's responsibility, providing an on-going basis for the company's performance evaluation, and comprising the data source for review by auditors: corporate, external, customer and governmental.
• Implementing the approved corporate plan including actual-to-plan reporting in the monthly financial reporting process. The Financial Reporting Manager will also report budget-to-actual variances to senior management on a monthly basis and work with the responsible parties in documenting the reason for any variances.
• Controlling the use of General Ledger accounts by requesting written documentation for opening new accounts and for closing unused or non-budgeted accounts. This responsibility will be under the immediate supervision of the CAO.
• Accruing purchases and receivables at month end to provide accurate financial reporting of transactions. Maintains subsidiary ledgers for accrual accounts such as accounts payable - other and accounts receivable - other.
• Monitor all intercompany transactions including the billing of intercompany payrolls, management fees, interest costs, etc.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting using Lawson report writer or other report writing software, such as Crystal
• Responsible for the preparation, analysis, and internal distribution of financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintains records of routine accounting transactions and works with internal and external auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the auditing function.
• Assists in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries.
• Prepares, maintains, interprets and analyzes complex records of accounting and financial statements, which may include general accounting, costing or budget data.
• Assists in preparation of earnings press releases and quarterly investor conference call scripts.
• Works with Benefits Manager in the preparation of our FAS123R stock-based compensation expense and related diluted earnings per share calculations
• Compiles all necessary supporting data for external and internal financial reports and analysis such as Quarterly Board Reports, Investor "4-Pagers", and Investor Presentation "Flip Books"
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Advanced degree in business or accounting is preferred.
Experience: "Big 4" or public accounting background is required with at least 6 years of experience that include a heavy emphasis in SEC and GAAP reporting.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on exceptional writing skills. Working knowledge of Lawson or equivalent accounting application is preferred. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects with follow-through and timely completion on all such projects; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications - Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
Certification: Certified Public Accountant certification required.

Identifies when research is needed; clearly and concisely frames issues to be researched; and clearly and concisely reports the analysis.

· Involve firm specialists, as appropriate
ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals
Correctly and proactively applies Firm policies, standards, and our Tax Quality Manual (TQM) regarding FAS 109 and FIN 48.
· Applies, correctly and proactively, ASC 740-10, and Firm policies, standards, and our TQM regarding them
· Effectively explains and discusses components of the income tax provision and uncertain tax positions to the client as well as other complexities surrounding ASC 740-10
· Proactively communicates with Assurance counterparts to timely plan tax accrual reviews, including budget, scope and delivery dates
· Effectively utilizes and manages STS, as needed
Tax Consulting
Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients' current and future taxes.
· Considers the applicability of CTS and STS consulting specialties for each client;
· Develops and implements a work plan to include/organize the STS assistance on ongoing projects from client
· Serves as a technical resource
· Ensures client service teams comply with Firm policy; regarding Written Tax Advice ("WTA"),
· Provides effective assistance with exam support;
· Frames projects and issues for effective delegation to seniors and associates.
Tax Specialization
Develops an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation, e.g., individual, corporate, property, sales, corporate, pass-through, state and local, international, expatriate, transfer pricing, credits and incentives, compensation and benefits, accounting methods, R&D tax benefits.
· May be required to organize and conduct effective internal CPE training sessions in area of specialization, involving Firm specialists.
Strategy Development
Introduces and develops new or improved ideas to improve the position of clients, the Firm, or Firm personnel, e.g., by reducing taxes or expenses or providing non-tax benefits.
· Reviews studies of tax implications and offers clients alternative courses of action
· Identifies and leverages lessons learned on prior projects, and offers input on how to improve processes and methods

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervision of associates and senior associates on all projects
· Review work prepared by associates and senior associates and provide review comments
· Efficiently and effectively trains Associates and Seniors how to use all current software tools

Tax Consulting
Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients' current and future taxes.
· Considers the applicability of CTS and STS consulting specialties for each client;
· Develops and implements a work plan to include/organize the STS assistance on ongoing projects from client
· Serves as a technical resource
· Ensures client service teams comply with Firm policy; regarding Written Tax Advice ("WTA"),
· Provides effective assistance with exam support;
· Frames projects and issues for effective delegation to seniors and associates.
Tax Specialization
Develops an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation, e.g., individual, corporate, property, sales, corporate, pass-through, state and local, international, expatriate, transfer pricing, credits and incentives, compensation and benefits, accounting methods, R&D tax benefits.
· May be required to organize and conduct effective internal CPE training sessions in area of specialization, involving Firm specialists.
Strategy Development
Introduces and develops new or improved ideas to improve the position of clients, the Firm, or Firm personnel, e.g., by reducing taxes or expenses or providing non-tax benefits.
· Reviews studies of tax implications and offers clients alternative courses of action
· Identifies and leverages lessons learned on prior projects, and offers input on how to improve processes and methods

· Supervision of associates and senior associates on all projects
· Review work prepared by associates and senior associates and provide review comments

Revenue Accountant/Analyst

Our client company has a long term growth plans for this Energy Related company and is seeking only the most talented and driven professional to join their team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Analyzes monthly accounts for any changes contracts or customers to ensure proper billing.
· Assists with billing assessments.
· Process some billing and credits.
· Reclasses revenue. Accrues revenue when necessary.
· Communicates with customers regarding collections and updates aging summary.
· Coordinates end-of-month invoicing with Prepares and posts month end journal entries.
· Sends out month end reports.
· Responsible for account reconciliations.
· Takes the initiative to identify problems, uses judgment to find appropriate solutions and follows through on resolving issues in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/LICENSES:
· BS in Accounting.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Three years of accounting experience.
· Knowledge of accounting principles and ability to accurately apply and use financial and accounting concepts.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, financial reports and legal documents.
· Ability to effectively present information, communicate with, and respond to questions and complaints from co-workers, management, clients/tenants, public groups, and the general public.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
· Ability to interact with others in a professional and appropriate manner and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
· Proficient with computers and applicable software (Excel, Word, Oracle, Oracle Contracts, Outlook).
· Ability to solve problems and ability to interpret a variety of instructions, policies and data.
· Organizational skills.
· Ability to perform work with considerable independence under the general direction of supervisor.
· Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions independently.
