Job Description:
Prepare detailed derivatives tracking spreadsheet
Tag each trade to the appropriate hedging strategy
Prepare FAS 133 hedge documentation
Monthly account reconciliations for all accounts with derivative activity
Research the appropriate accounting treatment for new hedging strategies
Detailed data analysis
Hedge ineffectiveness testing, calculation and recordation
Hedge regression and correlation analysis calculations
Extensive communication with trading department and interaction with upper management
Implement FAS 157

Job Requirements:
3 to 5 years experience, minimum two years derivative accounting experience preferably in energy industry
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
Solomon and/or Futrak software experience very helpful.
Audit experience (especially in derivatives area) preferred.
Strong communication skills required. Must enjoy interacting with trading group on a regular basis.
