POWER ACCOUNTANT
HOUSTON, TEXAS


Due to relocation a Sr. POWER ACCOUNTANT position has opened up in the Houston area. This is an organized and efficient desk needing strong power knowledge and background.

Assist power and gas accountants on current accounting processes, routine account reconciliations, journal entries, and month end reporting.
Work closely with power supply team on ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, and PJM settlements.
Coordinate with IT and current/new market business analysts to streamline and standardize existing accounting reports and processes.
Responsible for all aspects of gross margin month end close for power markets including booking revenue, COGS, accruals, and generating P&L.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and perform reconciliations with new market implementation team to verify and modify integrity and accuracy of accounting data from outsourced and internal customer information systems.

Strong communication skills area must as this position will interact with all levels of management.
