Position Description

The Manager – Corporate Accounting will be primarily responsible for managing, analyzing and evaluating complex accounting activities in order to support the Corporate Accounting and Treasury functions. This role will directly supervise one senior-level accountant and will interact with various groups within the organization, including international teams, to achieve financial goals and continued development of accounting systems and plans and will be responsible for accurate and timely processing, calculating and reporting on various items, including, but not limited to, the following:
• Monthly accounting (including all journal entries and related reconciliations) for all of the Company’s investments (available-for-sale and trading securities), derivatives and debt as well as “other income” accounts containing investment and FX-related activity;
• Daily as well as month-end and quarter-end monitoring of the IT2 treasury workstation which accounts for all of the cash transactions of the Company. This includes journal entry generation, error correction/issue resolution and maintenance of accounting templates and period-end close of the treasury workstation;
• Accounting support for the Company’s Treasury function including research and issue resolution on investment and foreign currency exchange related items, as well as facilitation of intercompany settlements;
• Technical research and documentation of significant transactions and ad hoc questions relevant to the functional responsibilities of this role;
• Complete compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and improving controls where necessary, and evaluating processes for continuous improvements and influencing change where needed.
Position Requirements
Job requirements:
• Strong knowledge of financial principles and US GAAP accounting requirements;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Must be able to perform complex calculations, understand accounting impact and implications of transactions and review complex reconciliations of large volumes of data;
• Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple, concurrent tasks;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, as the position requires regular partnering with senior Treasury personnel and others across multiple corporate functions;
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, under pressure and within strict deadlines.

Education/Training Required:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• CPA
• 5+ years work experience with demonstrated progression – Big 4 public accounting firm or treasury accounting experience a plus
• Experience with Oracle Financials, HFM or the IT2 Treasury Workstation a plus
