Financial Analyst ~ New Orleans

Job Responsibilities to include the following:
Assist with the development and implementation of a new report system
Assist with system maintenance, interfaces, balancing, and training
Analyze user needs and provide specs to the systems area for reporting deliverables.
Understand client organization including structure, culture, technologies, operating environment and high-level processes; determine potential impact and plan deliverables accordingly.
Define and implement the deliverable review process and complete quality assurance of deliverables.
Manage version control.
Performing trend analysis as needed
Providing accounting assistance and system training to user areas within the company.

Job Requirements to include the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus
3 - 5 years accounting or finance experience
Needs to have a thorough understanding of corporate finance, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, capital budgeting, profit and loss, time value of money, pro forma statements, and mergers and acquisitions.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Intermediate experience with MS Excel and Access
