Position Description:

Our client has an outstanding opportunity in the Energy Industry to be a Report Developer and part of some exciting projects. These new projects are designing, building and supporting reporting solutions for the following types of applications: Customer Information Systems, Accounting Systems, Forecasting, and other 3rd party solutions. Work for a fast growing, results orientated company that utilizes leading technology. We are seeking individuals to join our team and be responsible for the development and support of reporting solutions critical to our business. Responsibilities include:

Design and implement reporting and business intelligence platforms across multiple applications.
Extract requirements from business users
Technical writing and documentation
Writing reports using Microsoft's Reporting Services (SSRS)
Maintain data marts of extracted data
Performing logical and physical data modeling
Developing optimized stored procedures
Implement databases in a Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 environments
Tuning databases and systems for peak performance


Required Skills for Position:
Ability to successfully interact at all levels with internal and external clients
Experience with web and browser based applications and technologies
Experience with project management
Attention to detail and has a "data stewardship" attitude
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in SQL query development and query optimization
Ability to write stored procedures and complex SSIS packages
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSIS) including creating graphs/charts
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
Develops strong working relationships and drives change
Self motivated and a high degree of intellectual curiosity
Demonstrated organizational skills & ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Positive attitude and impeccable work ethic
Ability to "learn data" house in several databases
Willingness to "do whatever it takes to get the job done"

Preferred/Nice to Have Skills for Position:

Familiarity with .NET
Experience working in deregulated electricity and natural gas markets
