Network Administrator needed for a prestigious professional services firm in the CBD!
Primary responsibilitiesof the network administrator role include the management of the WAN/LAN infrastructure, Security, and Voice over IP utilizing CISCO networking equipment.
Other duties include: design, installation, configuration and support of networking equipment and operating systems; developing maintenance processes and procedures, remote site administration; and maintenance of disaster recovery procedures.
This position works closely with the Network Administrator responsible for HP based servers.
Responsibilities:
Networking
• Maintain LAN/WAN/WIFI network
• Administer CISCO devices including switches, routers, VPN, firewalls and WiFi access points.
• Maintain Quality of Service (QoS) to support voice and video.
• Assist in maintaining and developing disaster recovery plans.
Security
• Manage security hardware and software based security firewalls.
• Manage and mitigate virus risks.
• Manage authentication services including SSL, certificates, RADIUS, etc.
• Maintain physical security of hardware assets.
• Proactively monitor intrusion, access and security logs.
Servers
• Manage Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, and DHCP services.
• Assist in managing system backup and recovery processes.
• Assist in implementing SMS.
• Support IIS based Web sites/Intranet and Extranet services.
• Assist in maintaining Exchange 2007 systems.
• Assist in maintaining Citrix farm.
Qualifications:
• Progressive experience with CISCO IOS, network design and support including routers, switches, hubs, WAN, LAN, SSL, 3DES/IPSec, Radius, VPN networks, wireless access points, VoIP and QoS, ASA and PIX firewalls.
• Progressive experience with Windows 2000/XP system platforms, IIS and Internet infrastructure (incl. DNS, DHCP, WINS and Active Directory), Exchange 2003/2007 and WebAccess portals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills-must relate well to all levels of internal and external customers and staff.
• Must function well as part of a team.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Legal experience a plus.
