Operations Process Analyst

Operations Process Analyst Job Description





The Operations Team is searching for potential candidates to fill 2 analyst positions within the department. These candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with opportunities for growth.



Candidates suitable for this role should have experience in data analysis, process mapping, procedure development, research, CIS systems, and general knowledge of customer operations.



Candidates should also be familiar with natural gas and electric business processes, and market transactions. These positions work closely with the IT department to align technical solutions with business needs.



Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Document procedures, business rules, roles/responsibilities, and process flows
Collect and coordinate documentation and process model/workflow feedback from internal employees
Define the information shared across the operations group
Collect and proof all documentation of processes, templates, and presentations
Lead teams in assessments of business processes and systems and determine process improvement opportunities
Act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT
issues & improvement recommendations

Provides status updates on progress, issues, and risks




Skills:

Ability to understand the relationship between disconnected processes and flows, and communicate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
Strong analytical and performance management skills
Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
Experience modeling and documenting cross functional business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
Previous experience in Operations - Billing, Collections, Customer Retention




Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

3-8 years experience in energy or other related field

2-3 years supervisory or lead experience preferred

Experience in implementing business processes in conjunction with a large scale system (i.e. CIS/CRM/ERP) is a plus

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and other Windows based applications
