Our client company has a long term growth plans for this technology company and is seeking only the most talented and driven professional to join their team.

Summary: Builds Ruby on Rails web pages using ERB and/or HAML. Convert static HTML (provided by 3rd party designers) into a dynamic and interactive website.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• UI and front-end development, applying knowledge of XHTML/JavaScript
• Building advanced user interfaces with JavaScript, including use of built-in and custom callbacks to Rails controllers.
• Converting static HTML from 3rd party designs.
• Cross-browser development and testing
• Optimize delivery of resources (JavaScript, CSS) to improve site performance.
• Implement tagging for site usage analysis

Competency:
• Ability to hand-code XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (without WYSIWYG editors or tools)
• Experience using JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
• Experience with source control systems such as Subversion
• 1 year HTML/UI implementation experience

Preferred:
• Experience developing website using Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Google Analytics or other tools to understand how websites are used by site visitors
Goals:
• Design enhancements to overall iSeatz architecture
• Implement webservice direct connect code
• Provide continual partner support during the development phase, addressing, researching, resolving technical/design issues, questions and concerns.
• Produce development plans aligned with project sprints.
• Coordinate tasks of other developers on the project, along with Project Manager.
• Assess schedule risks and fault-prone system areas prior to and during implementation.
• Identify inefficiencies or problematic areas within codebase. Refactor, analyze, and strive to improve code.
• Provide fundamental technologies that enable richer feature development, system fault-tolance and scalability.
• Estimate scope of work for projects, including identifying necessary tasks.

Education/Experience:
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Five to ten years related experience
