Summary: Designs testing environment for Web development that includes test cases, formal test plans, methodologies, and procedures by performing the following duties. The QA Specialist collaborates with engineers to assure that testing requirements are clear and well documented prior to testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Participate in regression, load and performance testing
• Work closely with project managers and testing teams to provide testing timelines
• Participate in the early phases of projects to ensure clear understanding of new functionality which can be translated and documented in the form of thorough test cases and test plans
• Work with developers to understand new features and bugs to be tested in releases
• Collaboratively create, update and execute test plans for all new product features
• Demonstrate a high degree of quality and attention to detail for test script authoring and execution
Competency:
• 1+ years QA experience
• Adept at functionality, usability, and scenario testing
• Strong hands-on experience with writing detailed test plans, test cases, creating test data, test execution, and defect tracking
• Clear understanding of development processes from concept to finished product
• Knowledge and experience with web application architecture and testing
• Strong understanding of and experience with QA concepts and methodologies, with emphasis on Agile testing methods
• Superior organizational, written communication and verbal communication skills
• A strong desire to invest in and contribute to higher quality products
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks
• Flexible and positive team-player
• Experience using automated test applications is desired but not required
• Work with lead developers to build understanding of the technical platform.

Education/Experience:
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• One to three years related experience
