Our client company has aggressive growth plans and are seeking only the most talented and driven accounting professional to join their team.

Regional accounting firm serving the greater New Orleans area is looking to hire a Bookkeeper. Our client offers a range of accounting and consulting services.


Responsibilities
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and financial summaries for numerous entities
• Prepare daily disbursements and related accounting entries
• Collect, validate and record attorney time and expense submissions
• Other responsibilities related to the data management, accounting and administration of class action litigation cases, as warranted
• Preparation of simple federal and state tax returns
• Preparation of IRS information returns (1099s and 1096s)

Requirements
• Prior book keeping experience, especially in preparation of bank reconciliations
• Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar)
• Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel
• Basic proficiency with MS Outlook and MS Word (or similar)
• Reliable, accurate and detail-oriented individual
• Able to work in a team environment and manage multiple assigned tasks and priorities
• Able to work overtime during busy periods

Other Preferences
• BS/BBA in Accounting
• Previous industry general ledger accounting experience
• Experience working with databases
• Experience with a variety of computer applications
• Experience in a legal environment
