Information Technology Professional to fill the position of SharePoint Developer in either the New Orleans or Baton Rouge office locations. A member of the Information Technology Department and Development team, the primary role of the SharePoint Developer is to design, develop, deploy and maintain efficient business solutions in SharePoint in support of core organizational functions and business line processes.

Responsibilities
Code, test, and implement high quality, scalable and extendable SharePoint solutions. Design and implement development workflow. Respond to application questions, bugs, and other problems requiring issue resolution. Provide typical SharePoint Administration roles such as provisioning sites for end users, and assigning security permissions to users and groups. Enforce site standards (layouts, security processes, etc.).
Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement. Manage routine maintenance tasks such as nightly backups, usage monitoring and analysis, scheduled task validation, keeping the system current with security releases and system upgrades. Take directions from management in implementing solutions.

Requirements
The SharePoint Developer works with all departments including practice, administration and clients, to meet custom software and data retrieval needs accurately and efficiently. The SharePoint Developer designs, develops, tests and deploys customized sites that meet the needs of internal as well as external clients. Manages patching, backups, monitoring and performance tuning of the SharePoint server farm along with continuity planning and testing. Ideal Candidate will possess four year degree from accredited university in Information Systems, Management, or related field and experience working in a development environment.
Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. At least 2+ years of technical experience as a SharePoint developer/programmer in either SharePoint 2007 or 2010 environment. Knowledge of SQL 2005/2008. Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems. Possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies. Possesses strong MS platform knowledge and skills (including IIS 7 and Forefront). Possess knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions. Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build professional relationships. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business including non-technical customers. Strong organization skills. Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs. Present professional appearance; maintain organized personal work space, excellent work ethic and attitude. Ability to lead by example, work individually and within a team environment. Participate in various projects as assigned. Other tasks and duties as assigned
