Job Objective: Senior Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for organizational group.

Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance

Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice

Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs

Direct and supervise accounting personnel

Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial operations

Advise management about issues such as tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts

Monitor financial activities and details such as reserve levels

Advising departmental managers on financial matters

Other duties as assigned


Experience: Minimum of 15 years accounting experience within an accounting department for a private employer

Prior experience as a Controller or Accountant within a private organization is preferred in addition to management experience

Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor /Master’sdegree in accounting/finance

Experience and strong background inManufacturing/commodity accounting and financial management

Current licensed CPA or a former holder of the CPA qualification

Experience with systems planning and development in an integrated information systems environment

Established proficiency in planning, analysis and oral and written communication

Managerial and administrative capabilities

Experience in a closely held and managed environment
