Transporttaion Supervisor

www.myrecruiting.biz is recruiting for aNew Orleans based company looking for a Transportation Supervisor who can plan and coordinate the transportation activities within our organization. Must have at least 5 years previous experience planning and coordinating trucking operations for a mid size company. Must have knowledge of DOT Regulations, FMCSA, Permits, Licensing, etc.

Job tasks

Direct activities related to dispatching, routing and tracking transportation vehicles.

Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.

Obtain required permits daily.

Assist with new business set up.

Resolve customer and shipper complaints in a timely manner.

Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with policies, procedures, safety rules, contracts and government regulations.

Responsible for gathering information for billing customers in a timely manner.

Tracks detention and demurrage.

Performs other duties as assigned.
